As a parent, you also want to advocate for your child. Here's how to do it effectively.
Need homework help? Remember, don't give out answers! Check out the e-book online for notes or your child's Toolkit for specific notes taken in class. Read Mrs. Buck's article on Putting an End to Homework Stress. Because of our homeroom and support times built into our schedule, we do not offer before or after school tutoring on a regular basis. However, your child is more than welcome to stop by his/her teacher's classroom to ask questions at any time before or after school or during breaks. You are welcome to contact the teacher if you have a question or would like to meet. In order to understand the philosophies of and structure of the classroom, attend important events like Back to School Night, Math Night, parent conferences, and STEAM fairs. |
